| The Liaison Officer Grade is a departmental
grade of the Home Affairs Department. There are five
ranks in the Grade : Principal Liaison Officer, Chief
Liaison Officer, Senior Liaison Officer, Liaison Officer
I and Liaison Officer II. There are around 400 Liaison
Officers in the Grade. They are deployed to work in the
18 District Offices and Headquarters of the department.
Duties
|
establish and maintain an effective liaison network
in the community ;
|
|
disseminate information and monitor
community feedback on government policies
and schemes;
|
|
organize government campaigns and support the District Councils in launching their activities;
|
|
form and provide service to mutual aid
committees, owners' corporations, give advice
to owners' committees
and other building management bodies in promoting
proper building management;
|
|
administer private oaths and declarations;
|
|
perform
emergency liaison duties such as typhoon, cold-spell,
flooding, fire, industrial accidents,
etc; and
|
|
