Briefing on the highways development in Hong Kong
The Home Affairs Department organised a briefing session for District Council (DC) members on the overeall road and rail development in Hong Kong on 7 November 2008 at Henry G. Leong Yaumatei Community Centre. Both Director of Home Affairs, Mrs Pamela Tan, and Director of Highways, Mr Wai Chi-sing, attended the briefing.
During the briefing session, Mr Wai Chi-sing briefed the DC members on the work of the Highways Department, and future plans on the overall road and rail development of the territory, and listened to the views of the DC members. The briefing session provides a good opportunity for the Highways Department to exchange views with DC members on the various issues about the development of highways and railways in Hong Kong.
