Briefing on the environmental policies in Hong Kong
The Home Affairs Department organised a briefing session for District Council (DC) members on the strategic aspects of environmental protection measures in Hong Kong on 10 June 2009 at the Hong Kong Science Museum. Both Permanent Secretary for the Environment, Ms Anissa Wong, and Director of Home Affairs, Mrs Pamela Tan, attended the briefing.
During the briefing session, Ms Anissa Wong briefed the DC members on the policies and plans on air quality improvement, energy conservation, cooperation with the Mainland, solid waste management and pollution control measures. Apart from collecting views from the DC members on the environmental policies, the briefing session also raised the awareness of the DC members of environmental protection.
The Director of Home Affairs, Mrs Pamela Tan, delivered welcoming remarks at the briefing on the environmental policies in Hong Kong on 10 June 2009.
