SHA's Meeting with DC Chairmen and Vice-chairmen

District Councils play a vital role in district affairs, hence their active participation in organizing territory-wide activity is crucial to the success of which. The 2009 East Asian Games (EAG) will be held in Hong Kong in December this year. To enable the District Councils to have a better understanding about the progress of organizing the 2009 EAG and to encourage their support and participation in the relevant EAG activities, the Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, the Director of Home Affairs, Mrs Pamela Tan, and the Director of Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Mr Thomas Chow, met with the District Council Chairmen and Vice-chairmen on 20 November 2008. District Councils would continue to participate in various promotional and community participatory activities of the EAG.
