DC Chairmen's / Vice-chairmen's visit to major East Asian Games competition venues (8.7.2009)

District Council Chairmen and Vice-chairmen, accompanied by Acting Director of Home Affairs, Miss Adeline Wong and Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, Mr Thomas Chow, visited Hong Kong Coliseum and Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground, the two major competition venues of the East Asian Games (EAG) on 8.7.2009 to see the state of Hong Kong's readiness for this large-scale international sports event.


Mr Lo Tak-sing, Chief Manager of Leisure and Cultural Services Department briefed DC Chairmen and Vice-chairmen of the renovated facilities of Hong Kong Coliseum.


District Council Chairmen and Vice-chairmen were briefed on the facilities of the doping control station in the Hong Kong Coliseum and the doping control measures of the EAG by the Chief Executive Officer of the 2009 EAG (HK) Limited, Mr Johnny Woo.


District Council Chairmen and Vice-chairmen were briefed on the facilities of the Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground.
