SFH meeting with DC Chairmen and Vice-chairmen (30.4.2009)

The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr York Chow, the Under Secretary for Home Affairs, Ms Florence Hui, the Director for Food and Environmental Hygiene, Mr Cheuk Wing-hing, the Director of Home Affairs, Mrs Pamela Tan and the Consultant in Community Medicine of Centre for Health Protection, Dr Choi Hiu-yeung met with the District Council (DC) Chairmen and Vice-chairmen on 30 April 2009 on the prevention of Influenza A (H1N1).

Dr York Chow reported the latest local epidemiological situation on the influenza and the new measures the Government has taken on the preparedness for the pandemic. The DC Chairmen and Vice-chairmen expressed support to the Government's actions and would mobilize community support to combat the pandemic.


The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr York Chow, briefed the DC Chairmen and Vice-chairmen on Hong Kong's preparedness against Influenza A (H1N1).
