Mobile Information Service
The Home Affairs Department has contracted the International Social Service to recruit and manage a team of 'information ambassadors' from the main minority communities.
ServicesThe principle tasks of 'information ambassadors' are -
|1.||to distribute information kits to our target clientele on arrival at the airport;|
|2.||to help them communicate with frontline personnel (such as immigration and customs officers);|
|3.||to respond to their enquiries in their own languages; and|
|4.||to distribute information kits at places where ethnic minorities congregate on Sundays and in different events and activities which are targeted for the ethnic minorities.|
The information kits include the Guide to Services in Hong Kong, publications from the Labour Department and the Equal Opportunities Commission. The kits provide all the information that our clientele need to adapt to life and work in Hong Kong.
