Sha Tin District

Welcome Message from Frederick YU, JP, District Officer (Sha Tin)

Welcome to Sha Tin! It is not only the most populated district in Hong Kong but also a district full of unique attractions.

Sha Tin is a versatile district where you can find not only a good mix of public and private housing, but also the harmonious coexistence of new towns and villages, past and future, city hustles and tranquil country parks. There are numerous attractions in Sha Tin - the charming Shing Mun River, scenic country parks and hiking trails, historic Tsang Tai Uk and Che Kung Temple, the newly established artistic City Art Square as well as a cluster of shopping arcades in the district. Last but not the least, the warm hospitality of our Sha Tin residents.

After hearing so many goodies about Sha Tin, why don't you come and experience this unique district yourself?
