Responsibilities :
- Reviewing and formulating policy on hotel and guesthouse licensing regime
- Taking forward legislative proposals on regulation of hotels and guesthouse and drawing up the implementation strategy for the new licensing regime
- Overseeing the operation of the Office of the Licensing Authority (OLA) in licensing and law enforcement matters
- Formulating policy in relation to the property management industry and overseeing the implementation of the Property Management Services Ordinance;
- Drafting of the subsidiary legislation on the related procedures for implementing the Property Management Services Ordinance
- Serving as the policy interface between the Home Affairs Department and the Property Management Services Authority
