Emergency Services by Care Teams in Southern District

The District Officer (Southern)/the Commander of Care Teams in the Southern District, Mr Francis Cheng, in collaboration with members of the Ap Lei Chau Estate Care Team, delivers fresh water to residents during the emergency suspension of fresh water supply at the estate.
Members of the Ap Lei Chau Estate Care Team deliver fresh water to the elderly on the day of the emergency suspension.
The Shek Yue Care Team visits residents affected by the fire in Yue Kwong Chuen, and provides emergency supplies.

Community Services by Care Teams in Southern District

Care Teams in the Southern District and residents of BeLIVING Youth Hub, a youth hostel, visit the elderly in the district and do finger exercises with them to help them prevent dementia through physical exercises.
Care Teams in the Southern District visit residents living in subdivided flats to show support and introduce services of the Care Teams to them.
Care Teams in the Southern District provide household cleaning services for residents in need.
Care Teams in the Southern District, upon receiving a request for assistance, help a 70-year-old elderly singleton replace a fluorescent tube at home which has been damaged for over three years.
Members of Care Teams in the Southern District assist the fishermen in Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter in installing an anti-theft alarm system on their fishing boats and disseminate crime prevention messages to fishermen.
Care Teams in the Southern District visited Khalsa Diwan Sikh Temple in Wan Chai. Representatives of the Care Teams enter the temple barefoot to take part in activities, introducing services of the Care Teams to the ethnic minorities, as well as understanding their needs.

Emergency Services by Care Teams in Tsuen Wan District

In view of a traffic accident at Texaco Road, the Tsuen Wan District Office lead the Care Teams to set up a help desk at the Accident and Emergency Department, Princess Margaret Hospital to assist the affected residents.
Care Teams in the Tsuen Wan District visit residents affected by the fire in Lei Muk Shue Estate and assist them to clear the burnt items.
When Typhoon Talim hits Hong Kong, the Tsuen Wan District Office lead the Care Teams to implement typhoon preventive measures, including reminding people residing in low-lying areas to conduct protective works.
When Typhoon Talim hits Hong Kong, Care Teams in the Tsuen Wan District are on duty at the temporary shelter to distribute breakfast for shelter seekers.

Community Services by Care Teams in Tsuen Wan District

The District Officer (Tsuen Wan)/the Commander of Care Teams in the Tsuen Wan District, Mr Billy Au, in collaboration with members of the Shek Wai Kok Care Team, visit the households in need to establish regular contacts, and to better understand their needs.
Care Teams in the Tsuen Wan District actively provide home support services to households in need, such as simple home repair services.
Care Teams in the Tsuen Wan District visited “three-nil buildings” in the district to learn more about their building management, security and hygiene conditions. Members of Care Teams, together with volunteers from a youth hostel, conduct cleaning services at the common areas of “three-nil buildings”.
Care Teams in the Tsuen Wan District organised various additional caring services to accommodate the needs of residents such as regular body check services to the elderly.
Care Teams in the Tsuen Wan District invited professionals to give a talk on mental health. Residents can learn more about common types of mental disorders and skills to deal with their mental health conditions through the talk.
Care Teams in the Tsuen Wan District provide hair-cut services to the elderly in the sub-district.
