Ambassador Scheme

The Scheme aims to provide outreach services to disadvantaged groups of ethnic minorities (EMs) and new arrivals from the Mainland (NAs). The Home Affairs Department has commissioned the International Social Service - Hong Kong Branch and New Home Association to provide services for EMs and NAs respectively. The two commissioned organizations will arrange persons with similar background and experience as ambassadors to proactively contact the disadvantaged EMs and NAs by means of home visits and visits to their usual gathering places, introduce to them government services, and, where necessary, make referrals to relevant government departments for specific follow-up. In addition, exhibitions and seminars will be organized to introduce to them various community services provided for them.
