Central and Western District Office assists in enhancing the crowd control measures at the testing stations in the district

In February, the Central and Western District Office mobilised volunteer teams of district organisations to work together with the volunteer teams formed by civil servants. The volunteer teams assisted the testing contractors to divert testees and shorten the waiting time at the Edinburgh Place Mobile Specimen Collection Station, and at the Shek Tong Tsui Sports Centre Community Testing Centre. Additionally, the Government has adopted various measures to shorten the waiting time at the testing stations, which include setting up more Mobile Specimen Collection Stations, installing ticketing machines, etc. The measures aim to reduce the inconvenience caused to the public, divert the flow of people as much as possible and shorten the waiting time.
