District Youth Development and Civic Education Committee

Terms of Reference

  • To advise on matters relating to youth development and civic education;
  • To organise or co-ordinate civic education activities to suit the needs of the district with a view to enhancing civic awareness of local residents and their participation in building a civil society;
  • To organise or co-ordinate youth activities to suit the needs of the district with a view to fostering national and civic awareness of young people, enhancing their development potential and promoting their active participation in community affairs;
  • To offer advice on the funding applications for district youth development and civic education activities from local organisations including schools as well as the implementation of funded activities and their effectiveness; and
  • To publicise and promote youth development and civic education activities in the district.
